All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory

All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory Interim Database Application

What is it?

The All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) Interim Database Application is an MS Access application designed in collaboration with NPS staff who are involved with ATBI and BioBlitz activities. The application is designed to help you document the observations, vouchers, and field specimens that might be collected in support of ATBI/BioBlitz activities, and covers items such as taxonomy, sampling events, locations, projects, and contacts. The application can be customized to accommodate a range of activities, from highly detailed or specific ATBI inventories, to simple or one-time BioBlitz efforts.

Who is it designed for?

The application is available for anyone who needs a tool for managing data resulting from a BioBlitz or ATBI effort. It can be customized by an ATBI data manager and used by individuals tasked with data entry. Please see the Data Management Services page for more information on services provided in support of the ATBI Interim Database Application.

How does it work?

User guide documentation is available (see downloads below). The application includes features such as: standard reports, data entry/edit tools, customization tools to add new fields to forms, the ability to import taxa lookup lists from NPSpecies, and the ability to browse forms with extensive filtering options.
