AccessXP Installed Operating system, memory and hard-disk space necessary to run AccessXP ------------ Installation ------------ To install NPSpecies on your hard disk, do the following: 1) Copy the NPSpeciesAppAllXP.exe file to your hard drive. 2) Use the left button of your mouse to double-click on the NPSpeciesAppAllXP.exe file. 3) In the dialog box that appears, enter or locate the directory to store the files. Click on the "Unzip" button to extract the files. (Note: On certain networks, you may not have permission to create new directories, so you will need to extract the files to an existing directory or contact your network administrator for help) 4) Click on the "Close button to close the WinZip self extraction utility. 5) Optionally, delete the NPSpeciesAppAllXP.exe file - it is no longer needed. --------------- NPSpecies Files --------------- The following directories and files are created and installed: -NPSpecies Directory containing all the NPSpecies files. -MstrData Directory containing Master Data files used by the NPSpecies application. -StdClass_master.mdb Taxonomic data (Access97 format). -Parks_master.mdb Park related data (Access97 format). -TandE_master.mdb Data related to threatened and endangered species (Access97 format). -WorkData Directory to store working data files. -NPSpecies_data.mdb Working data file that contains no data (Access97 format). -Sample_data.mdb Working data file with sample data (Access97 format). -ExampleLocalClassification_data.mdb Working data file with sample data (Access97 format). -ExampleChecklistFields_data.mdb Working data file with sample data (Access97 format). -ExampleManagementFields_data.mdb Working data file with sample data (Access97 format). -DuplicationToolsSample_data.mdb Working data file with sample data (Access97 format). -NPSpeciesXP.mdb NPSpecies application file (AccessXP format). ------------------ Starting NPSpecies ------------------ To start NPSpecies, use the left mouse button to double click on the application file, NPSpeciesXP.mdb.
