System Requirements

~10 MB of free hard-disk space to store files.
Access2002 Installed
Operating system, memory and hard-disk space necessary to run Access2002

Installation
------------

To install on your hard disk, do the following:

1) Save the NatureBib3.0All.zip file to your hard drive.

2) Use the left button of your mouse to double-click on the NatureBib3.0All.zip file.

3) In the Winzip window that appears, click on "Extract" to extract the zipped files. 
   From the Extract window, enter or locate the directory you want to store the files
   in, or click the new folder icon to create a new folder and then select it. 

   Be aware that the table structure has changed in 3.01 so you cannot use the new 
   release to link to an older version's tables.

   Select the "All Files" option.
   
   If the folder you have selected contains the old NatureBib files, please note:
      
      a) If the "Overwrite existing files" box is checked, the new files will 
         replace the old ones. 
      
      b) If the "Overwrite existing files" box is not checked, the new files will
         not be installed and you must select a different folder for the new files.

   Click the "Extract" button, then close the Winzip window.
 
4) Optionally, delete the NatureBib3.0All.zip file - it is no longer needed.

Files
---------------
The following files are installed in the directory you selected:

   -NatureBib.mdb     		The NatureBib application file (Access2002(XP) format).
   -NatureBib_Backend.mdb  	A blank NatureBib data file (Access2002(XP) format).
   -HelpFiles.chm		14 small files containing the applications help info.

   -ReleaseNotes3.01.doc 	Release notes for NatureBib3.01 and previous versions.
   -Readme.txt 		File containing installation and startup information
   -UserGuide.doc		A guide for user of the deskop version of NatureBib

Starting 
------------------
To start, use the left mouse button to double click on the application file, 
NatureBib.mdb.  

Note that Release 3.01 is initialized to link to the blank database called 
"NatureBib_Backend.mdb" in the folder c:\NatureBib. If you have a data file by that 
name from the previous version in the c:\NatureBib folder, NatureBib will recognize
the table structure is invalid and ask for the location of the backend database.

In this case you just need to relink to the new NatureBib_Backend.mdb in whatever 
folder you extracted it to. But it is strongly recommended that you either delete or
replace all data files from previous releases to avoid confusion.

To replace a downloaded datafile from a previous NatureBib version with a new 
download, email the NatureBib Project Team (see below).
