NPScape Metric Viewer
The NPScape metric viewer provides a user-friendly, interactive map that allows non-GIS specialists to explore NPScape GIS data. From the viewer users can click on and off different layers, alter layer order and transparency, pan and zoom to areas of interest, and save custom professional cartographic maps for use in reports or briefings. Click this link to launch the NPScape metric viewer and consult the FAQ page (upper right corner of viewer) for guidance and tips. Note: The metric viewer requires a Silverlight plugin, which you will be prompted to download/install if it isn't already.
NPScape Map Services
NPScape map services allow users to view NPScape GIS data and produce custom maps in a variety of programs, including ArcGIS and Google Earth. Consult the Using Map Services SOP for more information.
NPScape Map Movies
Most NPScape metrics have a temporal, spatial, or thematic 'depth' that is best visualized cartographically using 'time' as a fourth dimension. Click this link for examples and guidance on producing NPScape map movies.
