The Greater Yellowstone Network (GRYN) provides inventory and long term monitoring information for a carefully selected subset of natural resources involving Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, and the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial parkway. GRYN is one of 32 National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring networks that operate across the nation to standardize and extend the scientific basis for managing public resources in national parks.

The science information available from this site is intended to help understand and manage complex ecosystems in GRYN parks and the greater Yellowstone area.

This report summarizes preliminary trend results from the interagency whitebark pine monitoring program in the GYE. A complete step-trend analysis of data collected between 2004 and 2011 is scheduled for release in 2014.
