Organization:
Organization of the Gulf Coast Network revolves around two entities: the Board of Directors and The Technical Committee. Both of these committees were established by the network charter.
The Board of Directors provides oversight and ensures individual park participation in the inventory and monitoring planning process. It makes all final decisions regarding the network. The board of directors is comprised of Superintendents from network parks. The chair of the Board of Directors serves a two-year term. The Network Coordinator and Southeast Regional I&M Coordinator are both permanent board members. The Technical Committee is the primary functioning body with responsibility for general program planning and implementation. The technical committee is comprised of one natural resource, or appointed staff member from each of the 8 network parks. All are permanent members of the committee.
