The NCPN has completed NPSpecies certification for several taxonomic categories in each network park unit. In addition to final reports associated with inventory projects, results of species detections are incorporated into NPSpecies, the National Park Service's master biodiversity database. A subset of this species information is also available through the species list tool on the NCPN website. Below is a complete list of the status of NCPN inventories.

- "Certified" indicates that species information has been incorporated into NPSpecies, the associated park and category species list has been reviewed and finalized by parks and subject-matter experts, and the list has been posted on this web site. (Inventories are not required for certification to be completed.)
- "In progress" indicates the project is active and underway. If the link is active, there is an associated progress report to view.
- Ivory cells indicate inventories for a particular park and category were not identified as priorities during the inventory planning process.
