All downloads, unless otherwise specified, are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Small downloads will open the file with Adobe Acrobat reader. Large files can lock up your computer for several minutes while they are being opened by Acrobat, so a window similar to this is displayed instead:

Click on the "Save" button to save the file to your hard drive.

A standard browse window will appear to allow you to select the directory in which you would like to save the file. After selecting a directory, be sure to enter a file name with a .pdf extension. The download program will not use the name of the file as it is stored on the NCPN server, it will just name the file "FileCopy".

After you have entered a file name, click the "Save" button in the browse window. You will then be free to visit other pages on the NCPN site while your file is downloading. After the download is finished, if you have named your file with a .pdf extension, you can double-click the file name in Windows Explorer to open it with Adobe Acrobat.
