Geologic Resource Inventory
The NPS Geologic Resources Evaluation (GRE) Program is a cooperative endeavor to implement a systematic, comprehensive inventory of the geologic resources in NPS units. Products will include: a scoping summary report; Digital Geologic-GIS data; a geologic report with basic geologic information on geologic setting, history, and hazards; geologic bibliographies to locate all known park geologic references.

Status
Geologic resources scoping sessions have been held at the PACN parks. Scoping reports are not yet available. A geologic report is currently available for the National Park of American Samoa, and digital maps are available for the National Park of American Samoa, Kalaupapa National Historical Park, Haleakala National Park, Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, Puukohola Heiau National Historic Site, Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Digitizing of maps for War in the Pacific National Historical Park and American Memorial Park are currently in progress.
