Pacific Island Network

Reports & Publications

The Pacific Island Network is facilitating the National Park Service's effort to "improve park management through greater reliance on scientific knowledge" and contribute to the Service's institutional knowledge. The Network is identifying, cataloging, organizing, archiving, and making available relevant natural resource information. This includes organizing and making available natural resource data, reports, publications, and other products. Four categories of reports and publications are presented here: 1) I&M program documents, 2) park management documents, 3) inventory products, and 4) Vital Sign status and trends reports. A complete listing of additional reports and publications may be found in NatureBib the NPS Natural Resource Bibliography database. Our partner, the Hawaii-Pacific Islands Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Unit also has a variety publications (technical reports, avian history series, books, International Biosphere Program reports, and others) available on-line.

  2. Park Management Documents - provide access to a variety of park-specific planning documents, including general management plans, resource management plans, proposed area studies, and other compliance related documents.
