Rocky Mountain Network staff work under the direction of and in cooperation with several groups. The ROMN Board of Directors has ultimate responsibility for program accountability. The Technical Committee works closely with network staff to develop ROMN I&M plans and strategies, and will have an increasing, important role in developing and communicating alternatives for park management based on monitoring results and information. Network staff also cooperate with park professional staff, other NPS natural resource staff (e.g., from the servicewide divisions of air, water, geologic, and biological resource management), and external scientific and technical experts to prepare ROMN plans and products and to carry out inventory and monitoring. The NPS Office of Inventory, Monitoring, and Evaluation and the Intermountain Region I&M coordinator provide program vision and guidance as well as administrative, technical, and scientifi c review.(Rocky Mountain Network Vital Sign Monitoring Plan, Who We Are, 2007)
