Inventories
The
goal of the Vertebrate and Vascular Plant Inventory is to identify 90%
of the species present in each of the parks in each of the following
categories: Fish, Amphibians
& Reptiles , Mammals, and Vascular
Plants. The Vertebrate and Vascular Plant Inventory is a major step
towards gaining solid scientific baseline data for use with the long
term monitoring program. Initial research was conducted to identify
species from an exhaustive literature, record, and ancillary data search
in order to augment the known composition of each park's NPSpecies
database. This research was authenticated by outside experts and
network park resource management personnel and has allowed the network
to identify data gaps and prioritize network needs. SFCN hopes to see
Invertebrates in the near future. For
