ESRI ArcMap Project file
(displays data for vegetation, field plot points, park boundary, aerial imagery, shoreline, buildings, drainages, interpretive signs, roads, trails, and LIDAR)
deso_veg_project.mxd

Instructions: For easiest access click the ArcMap link above and choose to open the file directly from this DVD. If you do save the file to your computer, it will not function until you have also unzipped the geodatabase (below) to the same location. You must ensure that the ArcMap file (.mxd) is in the same folder as the geodatabase (.mdb) to prevent broken links.

This file requires your computer to have a functioning version of ArcMap v9.2 or higher. Once the document is open, checking or unchecking boxes in the Table of Contents (usually on the left side of the screen) will show/hide individual layers.

Zip file containing spatial data (geodatabase)
(includes data for vegetation, field plot points, park boundary, aerial imagery, shoreline, buildings, drainages, interpretive signs, roads, trails, and LIDAR)
deso.zip

Instructions: Open the zip file and extract the contents of the geodatabase to the desired folder on your computer. This data is best viewed by browsing to the geodatabase through ESRI ArcCatalog or adding the feature classes directly through ESRI ArcMap. For the quickest access, consider opening the sample ArcMap project listed above.

Zip files containing spatial data (shapefiles)
(individual shapefiles vegetation, field plot points, park boundary, aerial imagery, shoreline, buildings, drainages, interpretive signs, roads, and trails)
vegetation.zip
field_plot_points.zip
boundary.zip
shoreline.zip
buildings.zip
drainages.zip
interp_signs.zip
roads.zip
trails.zip

Instructions: Open a zip file and extract the contents to the desired folder on your computer. The unzipped shapefile is best viewed by adding the shapefile directly through ESRI ArcMap or any other GIS program.
