About Us
The Upper Columbia Basin Network staff consists of the Network Coordinator, Ecologist, Data Manager, Aquatic Biologist, Science Communication Specialist, Biological Technician, and Research Associate. In addition to this core staff, contractors and temporary employees are hired to help reach and maintain the goals of the Network.
The Network's supervisory oversight is provided by a Board of Directors (BOD), made up of the Superintendents from the eight network parks, one Resource Chief who serves for two years, the PWR Deputy Regional Director, and the Pacific West Region (PWR) I&M Coordinator. The BOD is chaired by one of the eight Superintendents; a term as chairperson lasts one year.
The Science Advisory Committee (SAC) provides technical advice and assistance to both the Network office and the BOD. This committee is made up of the eight Resource Chiefs, the Network Coordinator, Ecologist, and the Network Data Manager. The SAC coordinates the UCBN I&M activities and provides decision points to the BOD. The Network Coordinator is responsible for convening regular meetings and inviting other park staff, partners, and contributors as dictated by the meeting agenda.
