NPS AlaskaPak Toolkit for ArcGIS

NPS AlaskaPak V1.0

Updated March 5, 2007

The AlaskaPak toolkit is a collection of tools for use with ESRI's ArcMap (8.x through 9.1) desktop GIS. These tools are designed to augment the functionality of ArcMap by providing easy to use tools for many common tasks performed by resource managers, GIS technicians and other scientists. AlaskaPak is implemented as an ArcMap Toolbar through a dynamically linked library (.dll) file. These tools, help document, and associated files were developed by the GIS Team, Alaska Regional Office (AKRO) of the National Park Service; it is public and may be freely distributed. Please direct questions, comments, and requests for new functionality to Greg Daniels or Danelle Malget.

Using the AlaskaPak

AlaskaPak consists of an ArcMap toolbar that contains various functions. By selecting a theme (data layer) in the data frame and selecting a function, a form or wizard will guide you through the function. Integral to using these tools is the extensive help file that is also provided and available from the toolbar.
